Beyond The Mat
In Sanskrit, Ayana means journey-
both the one you take across miles, and the one that transforms you from within. On this retreat we celebrate the wild, ever-unfolding adventure of life. Come ready to explore- your body, your breath, and one of the most awe-inspiring corners of the world.
We’ll be based in the hidden gem of Akureyri, Iceland’s second-largest city. With a population of just 16,000, it has a cozy, welcoming feel—filled with charming cafés, great restaurants, museums, and churches, and even the heart-shaped traffic lights that have become one of Iceland’s most endearing charms. Perfectly located in the north, Akureyri is an ideal base for exploring some of Iceland’s most unforgettable
landscapes and experiences.
October is one of the best months to visit, as there are fewer
crowds, whale watching and greatest possibility of seeing
the Northern Lights.
